Direct from Thailand, collected at an elevation of 2175m from the Doi Chang mountain, these beautiful plants are considered by many as Thailand’s finest. The genetics were stunning, producing some of the most beautiful and BIGGEST landrace plants we’ve ever seen.
This is the first of two 2025 pollinations using 2nd generation genetics we created a few summers ago. These plants grow real big real quick, so we split the hunt in half to help ease the pain. But fun it was and some nice plants were selected. Out of the 3 mothers we used, one in particular stood out. So she’s been re-vegged and cloned and will make another ’seedless’ appearance in a month or so.
The GHT is a high altitude cultivar collected on the Doi Chang Mountain range of Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. It is one of the highest peaks of the Daen Lao Range on the Thai side of the border. Doi Chiang Dao is part of a limestone massif located 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) west-northwest of Chiang Dao town and less than 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of the border with Myanmar at the eastern end of the Thai highlands. This mountain is part of Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary, south of Pha Daeng National Park.
Like all Thai’s, the GHT grows large and vigorously. While it’s possible to grow inside (we did) I wouldn’t reckon this strain for beginner growers. Plant training is of course accentual if that is your only way forward. But with that said, she’s a pleasure to grow and very unique in both look and structure. Her side branching is very strong and can easily hold the weight of the buds / colas she produces without much support.
Her flowers grow relatively thick and greasy, with lots of resin spilling over the long super-narrow leaves. These are surrounded by ‘Jurassic’ sized fan leaves. As you can see double serrated ‘hacksaw’ edges are standard with this line. The stem on this girl was an inch in diameter 4 weeks after germinating. That’s nearly double of anything thing else we set off during the same period. And, all while she was sat in a 10x10x7cm rock-wool cube. You simply can’t beat old-school vigour.
Aromas go floral / fruity with earthy / pine on the back end. Taste follows suit, but with a touch of menthol on the exhale. Yields are HUGE so a single plant will keep you happy for months if grown in the right environment. She’s a thing of wonder to look at, so intricate and detailed. A far cry from modern poly hybrid lines.
Effect is just AWESOME!!! The GHT has everything you expect from a pure Thai, and them some… She is just shear joy in every sense of the word. Your mind becomes incredibly clear / focused, while warm comforting vibrations move through your entire body. Positive energy and creativity are released leaving you happy, content and often in fits of giggles.
